Who Am I?

I'm a(n) effing veteran, that's who I am! Well, that may or may not have any truth to it whatsoever, I really just like quoting movies. The great philosopher Derek Zoolander first asked this question in 2001 after a freak gasoline-fight-turned-explosion cost him the lives of his closest friends.  It's a question that we all have to eventually face.  We all identify ourselves with something. Americans tend to identify themselves with their job or profession.  As for me, I'm not going to divulge a lot of personal information. There's a certain amount of privacy I'd prefer to maintain. When/if you read some of the other things I will presumably write about, you might be able to understand why I prefer anonymity.  Some people have a real problem with it.  And quite frankly, I just don't care.  I have personal views and or opinions that could compromise me professionally, as well as personally, but there is value to me to get some of my bottled-up opinions and feelings out.  I do not believe everyone should be completely open with every person in their lives.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating blatant dishonesty, only that one uses discretion with what information he or she decides to share.

I will tell you some interesting (or not so much), random (not literally) tidbits about myself.  I am a quirky individual - not necessarily funny, although I find myself very amusing.  Essentially, just about everything I do do, I do because I find it amusing.  (There's no way that sentence is correct, but it does make sense in my head).  I consider myself a Seinfeld aficionado - a "Seinfeldian", if you will.  I like to make extreme hyperbolic statements that should not be taken literally, like how I believe that something from Seinfeld can be applied to every situation in life.  I value grammar, as well as generally speaking and communicating correctly.  If I have some grammatical, spelling, syntax errors, or I'm using language or words incorrectly, I appreciate being corrected.  I am a relatively stoic individual who values emotional control.  I lose a little respect for people who have a temper, cry all the time, or whatever, because I believe it's important to control yourself.  Anger is a natural part of life, but don't let it control you. The same goes with sadness and a number of other things.  

Keep in mind, I am a child of 90s, so understand that pop culture from this era has really helped shape who I am.
